The Carrier North American Residential and Light Commercial HVAC strategy team is seeking a Manager of Market Intelligence. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the transformation and digitization of the market intelligence function in order to make data access more simple and ubiquitous across the organization.

This individual will be responsible for the tracking, aggregation and summary of all applicable market statistics and economic data. Reporting and insights will be relied upon by senior management to support the strategic planning process and day-to-day business execution. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and strong understanding of statistics and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary point of contact for all Carrier North American Residential and Light Commercial HVAC data requests
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and modeling and analysis
• Thoroughly and systematically analyze key industry trends; the general social economic and political environment; legal and regulatory issues
• Provide market insights and reports to senior management and various internal stakeholders to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making
• Lead the transformation of the market intelligence function by creating innovative and sustainable digital / automated operations in order to make data access more simple, efficient and ubiquitous across the organization
• Build positive relationships across the business and assemble diverse cross functional teams to deliver on strategic market intelligence projects.
• Manage trade association relationships, including reporting of company sales for market share calculation purposes
• Continuously improve industry forecasting models through use of statistical modeling techniques and data analysis

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in one of the following: Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing or Engineering
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately to a variety of audiences both orally and through written material
• Ability to transform large amounts of data into meaningful and impactful terms
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar tools
• Experience with statistical modeling and/or data science tools such as Python, Minitab, SAS, R, or similar tools
• Proven capability to build the best teams, work toward common goals and deliver results
• Ability to think creatively, innovate, take risks and implement progressive, sustainable solutions
• Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action approach
• Passion for customers including ability to act quickly, solve problems and exceed expectations
• HVAC industry knowledge a plus
