The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering best in class marketing and our suite of differentiated products & lifestyle services (e.g. dining, travel). This team also drives the strategy, sourcing, and delivery of proprietary cash back, cobrand, and membership rewards consumer products and enterprise benefits to American Express members, with a focus on driving daily relevance and backing in their lives.

The U.S. Cobrand Partner Marketing Team, within US Consumer Services, develops, and launches marketing campaigns designed to acquire new Card Members as well as deepen existing Card Member relationships. This is achieved through implementing marketing campaigns like new Card acquisition, Card upgrades and spend incentives for existing Card Members. The Manager will join a group of dedicated marketers ensuring our key strategic partners, Delta, Hilton & Marriott are supported in the execution of innovative revenue generating campaigns.

The Manager will serve as a marketing campaign execution lead, responsible for providing guidance, onboarding, and supervising a team of 8 analysts. They will also be responsible for advancing overall process efficiency, working closely with Marketing, Compliance, Technology & Operational Risk partners.

This role reports to the Director of Partner Marketing Enablement, and is charged with improving the productivity, agility and sophistication of our core campaign operations and leading a team of marketing analysts who centralize, manage, and implement end to end campaign operations for the Marketing team. A successful Manager is passionate about coaching the team through campaign set-up, offer creation, creative review and approval, testing, and campaign delivery. Fellow marketers will lean on you to centralize, coordinate, and communicate marketing execution plans, timelines, issues, and partner concerns that come with bringing a new campaign to market. This role partners extensively with Marketing Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Brand, Operational Excellence, Digital, Servicing, and marketing teams who develop the strategies you support and bring to market for existing Card Members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Planning: Liaise with marketing partners to understand offer strategies and develop marketing execution plans, including SLAs, risks, dependencies, and resourcing required. Play an active role aligning cross-functional partners to those plans and educating them on our goals.
  • Campaign Delivery: Lead team to implement campaigns on time and in compliance. Assist with issues, loss events, CAP management, PRSA and take steps to mitigate risk or customer harm.
  • Capability Implementation: Partner with internal operations and technology teams to introduce new processes or platforms that make it easier for us to bring campaigns to market, like Marketingforce, Rapid Creative Reviews, and more.
  • Campaign Performance: Enhance scorecards which track campaign demand, process efficiency, and risk controls so that we can optimize resources required to implement quickly and accurately.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain ongoing monitoring & reporting to provide practical insights to prevent manual error related issues, showcase gap-closure improvements and demonstrate significant progress
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 8 analysts and consultants, including performance assessments, development planning, coaching and future hiring.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of marketing operations, including offer set up, eligibility, creative development, and execution steps to lead the lifecycle of a campaign.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise setting results, balancing short and long-term needs, and facilitating progress to drive a project from start to completion across many teams, functions, and levels.
  • Strong organization and strategic planning skills with ability to run multiple priorities simultaneously, anticipate where proactive communication and partner alignment can improve project delivery.
  • Notable verbal and written interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, business partners and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the ability to see the big picture, but dive into details to complete the big picture, make hard decisions or trade-offs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a curiosity about challenging the way things are done today to inspire change and use good judgement on when to raise or leverage team members to solve roadblocks.
  • Experience developing diverse talent including hiring, development planning, coaching, and performance assessments.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
