The Scoop:

This position reports to the Principal, Marketing & Communications. The Manager, Marketing Communications supervises and manages the day-to-day activities of the Marketing Communications team by performing the following duties.

What You Get To Do:

• Develops strategic messaging, value proposition, and content development. Identifies needed resources, appropriate communications solutions and prioritization in departmental workflow

• Serves as Marketing's point of contact for incoming requests for client, prospect, member, and public relations communications

• Manages the development and production of marketing communications materials in a manner consistent with MedImpact's corporate positioning

• Materials include, but are not limited to, collateral materials, client and prospect presentations, customer events, press releases, member materials, online content, and white papers

• Develops work processes and tools to ensure deliverables are produced on time and within budget

• Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist sales in developing presentations for finalist presentations, best-and-final pricing, and other closing activities

• Meets with key clients, assisting sales executive with maintaining relationships and closing deals

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in Marketing Communications. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary.

Education and/or Experience

For consideration candidates will need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least five (5) years of job-related experience and three years of supervisory experience

• Four (4) years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader (Director and above) that must completed within 12 months in new position may substitute for the supervisory experience requirement

• Prior experience should include a minimum of two (2) years of direct PBM program or plan related management experience in a Marketing department

Computer Skills

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office/Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and experience with Visio. Aptitude for new programs.

This position may require domestic travel.
