Manager - Mfg Engineering

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage the Manufacturing engineering team in establishing accountability and goals to be used in annual performance appraisals, holding accountable for achieving goals
• Optimize production support, cost reduction, line presentation of material, lean manufacturing improvements, process development and corrective action support
• Assure that resources are available to provide necessary tooling, routers, labor standards, raw material structure, make vs. buy analysis, process instructions, and technical support for the timely implementation of engineering changes
• Utilize fiscal responsibility in manufacturing process, equipment/tooling procurement, and travel
• Using ISO 9000 quality system will produce documentation acceptable to the customer. Works to seek agreement on practices, policies and standards
• Other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Advanced expertise in manufacturing engineering requiring integration of theory and practice.
• Balanced, dynamic, methodical approach; good work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct
• Must demonstrate leadership, conflict resolution skills; assertiveness, motivational and positive attitude; foster teamwork
• Superior written and verbal communication skills; administrative and financial skills, excellent problem solver; able to interact with personnel at all levels

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with significant relevant experience (10 years), or Master's degree with some relevant experience
• Excellent planning, organization, and leadership skills
• Production supervision experience preferred
• Competent user of MS Office products including Project
