Manager - ML Engineering

Today, our flagship products are used by some of the country’s largest insurance companies, dental support organizations, and dental practices to enable the best patient care. 

All of this is made possible by the industry leading AI technology built by our Machine Learning (ML) team. We’re looking for a Manager of ML Operations to join us in our journey to build impactful and bleeding edge Dental AI and research. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering and operations of the ML platform at the heart of all of our products
• Develop and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines for regulated and non-regulated applications
• Provide leadership and mentorship to your team of ML and Data Engineers
• Work with our ML scientists to identify, prioritize and build the tools and APIs needed to enable development and deployment of their models in production
• Have the technical capacity to partner with tech leads and be comfortable diving into the fray to help drive resolution in the case of incidents.
• Take responsibility for the team’s short-term and long-term strategy. Define the team's roadmap, success metrics, and priorities in close collaboration with other engineering teams and multi-functional partners.
• Own your team’s deliverables and ensure we develop scalable, repeatable solutions and rapidly iterate on them to delight our users and customers.

• 3+ years of experience managing a software, infrastructure or platform engineering team
• 2+ years of experience developing, supporting and operating a machine learning platform
• Experience with ML model management platforms
• Experience using GCP or other public cloud offerings
• Fluency in one or more high level programming languages (Java, Python, Go, etc.)
• Experience building tools for ML scientists
• Experience with database systems including BigQuery, Postgres, MongoDB
