Summary
The purpose of this position is to oversee all inbound operation raw material shipments from point of origin to the destination point to meet customer requirements while aligning with Glovis standards and Hyundai Translead's expectations. Operationally, this requires the integration of information, carrier selection, material handling, and BPO (business process outsourcing) management.
Responsibilities
- As Manager, the individual will be functioning as backup and support for (Inbound HoT)
- Responsible for planning & supervising all inbound deliveries to end user
- Supervise all inbound staff for daily performance of intermodal, OTR and Ocean product
- Responsibility to handle MRB (inbound claims) gather, review, analyze potential claims
- Main person in charge for generating / monitoring KPI performance on weekly / monthly ( periodic ) basis
- Person in charge for formulating inbound SOP under guidance of HoD & HoT
- Assist with onboarding of new carriers for the TMS roll out
- Manage drayage detention reduction program to reduce overall detention costs via monitoring carrier performance
- Support with all data reconciliation with proprietary systems such as TMS
- Manage carriers to minimize in-transit damages and reduce usage of more expensive carriers
- Analyze and identify opportunities to save freight costs in the supply chain process
- Relies on extensive degree of experience and judgement to plan and accomplish departmental goals
- Lead & direct work of others engaged in executing organizational functions properly
- Oversee daily handling of internal and domestic inbound and shipments
- Daily monitoring of track, trace to analyze inbound shipment efficiencies
- Assist in development of delivery plans/forecasting
- Prepare monthly reports regarding the amount of damage claims, costs to HT, and recovered amounts from damages.
- Communicate and facilitate with customers complaints to escalate or resolve issues
- Perform internal functions to assist other departments in order to review and resolve discrepancies and perform root cause analysis and establish corrective actions to avoid repetitive occurrences
Compensation Range
- $87,000-$108,000/Annually

- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills Required
- Proficient PC skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database management system Required

- Experience OCEAN / Vessel / Import Operations Required
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Five (5) Years of Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Ocean Imports Required
- 4-7 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
