Manager, National Managed Care Contracting

Manager, National Managed Care Contracting will serve as a subject matter expert who is responsible for drafting, analyzing, reporting, and editing value-based care and fee-for-service contracts for Strive Health in partnership with managed care organizations, medical groups, and health systems. The Manager, Managed Care Contracting will be responsible for working alongside Strive Legal Counsel, Growth Leads, and Regional General Managers to project manage the deal cycle, resulting in new client contracts that can be implemented. Primary duties may include but are not limited to the following.

Essential Functions

  • Review and oversight of definitive contractual agreements including drafting contracts and contract terms
  • Executive level summaries, redline detail, and overall, first pass drafting of terms
  • Develop and maintain an organized “deal-status” tracker of contract documents for each transaction and key outstanding terms
  • Coordinates with various internal functional teams for input on necessary items (including, but not limited to ELT, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Enrollment, Health Economics, Implementation, and HR)
  • Communicates with partner/client, scheduling internal and external meetings related to contracting, terms, timelines, and overall launch planning including on-going contract performance ad-hoc and joint operating committee meetings.
  • Coordination with leads of regional finance, clinical, operations, and network teams to ensure compliant programmatic delivery and alignment between strategic and operational priorities
  • Develop strong relationships with key client personnel through open and transparent communications, proactive collaboration, and commitment to fulfilling the Strive corporate mission of helping people live their lives to the fullest potential.
  • Manages internal and external expectations of contract and implementation timelines and challenges
  • Identify and escalate contract challenges

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in:
    • Network management contract management
    • Value-based incentives
    • Healthcare payment structures and/or
    • Innovative payment strategies
  • Ability to travel 10% - when safe
  • Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in ambiguity
  • Proven to be a self-starter
  • Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships.
  • Knowledge of value-based care, managed care and/or kidney care.
  • Requires expert proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical).
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to effectively present to large groups

Annual Salary Range: $93,400.00-$116,700.00
