JOB SUMMARY

The Network Manager will manage and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our global Cisco network and Microsoft Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure. The manager will coordinate with internal teams, business units, and leverage global third-party relationships to execute the deployment and optimization of cutting-edge network, wireless, and UC solutions. The manager will utilize a blend of solid Cisco networking and UC skills along with strategic thinking to drive network enhancements which enable a stable and high performing business environment. The manager will leverage their leadership experience to mentor network engineers and encourage technical advances in engineering capabilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-7 years of technical experience using Cisco and Microsoft solutions
  • 3-5 years experience managing network and UC teams
  • 3-5 years experience managing network and UC projects, initiatives, and sprints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to properly handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Cisco professional certification(s) preferred (eg. CCNP)
  • Microsoft professional certification(s) preferred (ie. Microsoft 365 Certified)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of global network and UC engineers
  • Oversee network projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope
  • Manage and coordinate response efforts to network, wireless, voice/video performance and availability issues
  • Ensure seamless integration of Cisco network and Microsoft UC solutions with existing IT infrastructure
  • Perform on-going assessments, optimizations, and upgrades of network infrastructure
  • Serve as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers
  • Remain informed of new network and UC developments and trends
  • Manage team priorities, goals, and performance reviews

ADDITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS & DUTIES

  • Resolve complex problems where the issues are difficult to identify, and facts may be insufficient or misleading
  • Employ creative and innovative thinking to bring successful resolution to high-impact, complex problems
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco network technologies, such as Catalyst Center, Meraki, Wireless Lan Controllers, Cisco ISE
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco network technologies, such as routing, L2/L3 switching, and DMVPN
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Unified Communications technologies, such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams
  • Strong knowledge of network and UC protocols (eg. EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SIP, RTR, H.323)
  • Strong knowledge of wireless configurations (eg. QoS, DSCP, WLAN, Fast Roaming, MTU, Authentication, Certificates)
  • Serve as a technical mentor/career advisor
  • Direct large, routine projects with significant impact
  • Use judgment and discretion to determine work priorities
