The Hartford is looking for a Manager of Production Support. The position is accountable for managing all external websites or external applications within Group Benefits application portfolio. As an IT Application Owner, this position will be managing multiple 24X7 production systems (15) supporting Group Benefits business group, Group Benefits within The Hartford. As steward of the application cluster, the Application Owner role will be responsible for managing vendor partner resources and services provided by the service provider. Position will be accountable for driving results and positive customer (internal and external) experience. These include but not limited to managing key performance indicators (KPI) including application availability, support requests, ticket queues, SLA's etc.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of Production Stability in terms of impacts from changes released by the maintenance and invest project teams, as well as infrastructure & configuration impacts
  • Business communications for production issues
  • Accountable for Business SLA adherence
  • Support OLA adherence
  • Accountable for owned applications operations life cycle management and Information Life cycle management
  • Ensure applications adhere to Group Benefit Technology and enterprise technology and business roadmaps partnering with IT Delivery Lead.
  • Ensure communication occurs for all relevant activities, outages, or impacts
  • Understand business partner's goals and provide consultative advice to achieve those goals, including the development of options that provide innovative solutions
  • Continual engagement throughout with Invest/Maintenance as SME or Stakeholder
  • Disaster recovery testing
  • Compliance initiatives such as PII
  • Oversight of asset integrity through the support of the Application Tech Lead
  • Capacity planning of the environments
  • Drive Simplification and Rationalization Efforts
  • SLA & KPI reporting, monitoring, management and escalation- centralized
  • Plan, monitor and manage Managed Services capacity across onshore and offshore
  • Maintain Managed Services relationships
  • Support the multi-year Managed Services contract and any contract changes

Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of professional experience in Technology including management of large systems and teams
  • Production Support System Management. Experience in Managed Services is a plus.
  • Experience in managing vendor partner resources
  • Effective communication across multiple stakeholders is a requirement for the role.
  • Additionally the position should be able to work with multiple work groups across the organization - horizontal and vertical.
  • Knowledge in Insurance sector/Group Benefits Insurance is a plus.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$112,320 - $168,480
