About

So, here's what you need to know about this role (and, if you decide you want to learn more, our babbling can be found after the following bullet points)
  • Base pay is $80,000-$85,000 (DOE) along with potential additional OTE (uncapped) to make as much as $128,000+ in your first year. Yes this is attainable. No, it won't be easy.
  • You will manage a team of 10 BDRs - Majority of which you will train as they go through RAMP
  • Quota for the BDRs is based on SQO and closed-won revenue that they sourced
  • Experience managing reps and owning a team quota is required.
  • You will be coaching reps to utilize Outreach.io, Seamless, ZoomInfo, Nooks, BombBomb video, Reachdesk, and Avoma call recording
  • Our ICP is eCommerce businesses doing $1-$50m revenue
  • This position is fully remote with our team of BDRs ranging from East to West Coast!
  • This team is 100 percent outbound. You will come in, help create demand, create and edit sequences, A/B test new approaches and coach reps to uncover pain points that create interest.
  • This is a leadership position at an early stage start up. We're young, we're growing, we have investors backing us and we're ready to catapult. But, we're building the plane as we fly it.

We'll kick this off by saying: we are a product-lead platform. If you've worked with a product-lead company in the past then you know exactly what this means. Sitting on our growing sales team, your role would be different from other organizations who might be more sales-lead. You'll be prospect-focused and that requires a massively different approach.

At Sendlane, the folks who find the greatest success in selling our platform don't actually sell our platform at all. They sell what our platform can solve. Your job is to determine what the prospect thinks they need and then align it with what they really need. How? By building knowledge-based trust. Asking the right questions, understanding the needs of the client and customizing their experience with authenticity and a genuine concern for the growth of the prospect's business.

In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our customer base by generating new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential customers. Leveraging cold-contacting strategies that result in active responses and interesting communication, your goal is to help book demos and fill the pipeline for our sales team to close the deals and drive increased revenues. This is a strictly outbound role with no warm leads from Marketing!

You are
  • Knowledgeable enough to be dangerous in Ecommerce and/or SaaS Sales
  • You are good at talking but you're better at listening; Consultative, not relational.
  • Solution-oriented and technically-minded; Strategic, with a degree of sociability.
  • Comfortable in an ever-evolving environment and can pivot quickly.
  • Confident in your drive and ability to totally learn new technology and coaching styles
  • You have experience managing a team of BDRs
  • You have in-depth knowledge and experience with with Outreach or SalesLoft.

You're good at
  • Knowing how to prospect, qualifying, and follow up. You can coach reps how to create value quickly and go for the close.
  • Holding 1:1s that are actionable and well planned.
  • Thinking critically in real-time on how to pivot trainings when BDRs need it
  • You're familiar with Outreach.io, Seamless, BombBomb Video, ZoomInfo, and Reachdesk.
