Buyers Edge Platform (“BEP”) was born out of the 20-year growth and success of its founding companies Dining Alliance, Buyers Edge and Consolidated Concepts.  BEP is a technology enabled group purchasing network, which provides group purchasing services, SaaS based technology solutions, and supply chain consulting and procurement related services to foodservice operators across many verticals, including restaurants (independents as well as multiunit, chains and franchise concepts), hospitality (hotels, casinos, resorts), healthcare (LTC based operators), colleges & universities and array of other foodservice based operators (food trucks, caterers, amusement parks and other leisure based operators).  BEP represents over $35 Billion in Network Transactions.  We are committed and passionate about our mission to keep foodservice operators thriving by saving them money and increasing the quality of their products.

We are a growing company which performs unique analysis of purchase data.  We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to become an essential part of our team.  The right person will welcome challenges, thrive in a small team environment, and be eager to learn new skills.

This role will ideally be located near our New London, CT office, but can also be remote. We are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

The Manager of Contract Exclusions will be responsible for managing the workload and team. You will have experience leading a team and knowledge of the foodservice industry, preferably with contracts and pricing. You also have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to come up with creative solutions is necessary. 

  • Managing member contract records utilizing Salesforce.com.
  • Facilitating the exchange of exclusion records to internal and external parties.
  • Ensuring proper exclusion record alignment with external parties.
  • Maintaining accurate records of key interactions within our environment.

Additionally, the manager will also be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Conducting periodic audits to ensure accuracy of contract records.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and share results.
  • Continually evaluating current data structure and processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy collaborating with manager and Development as needed to implement improvements.
  • Managing and developing 2+ direct reports to set and achieve goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and knowledge of the foodservice industry, preferably with contracts and pricing. The candidate will also have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to come up with creative solutions is necessary.  

Required Skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
    • Nested If Statements, PivotTables, XLookups, etc.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Aptitude for critical thinking and problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eye for streamlining processes

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with large data sets including gathering, interpreting, and disseminating information
  • Experience leading a team and meeting personal and team goals
  • College degree required with major in Management Information Systems preferred. Similar majors with related experience considered
  • Experience using Salesforce.com, database management, business intelligence software preferred
