Gas South is looking to hire an experienced individual who finds value in overseeing all aspects of developing and leading learning strategy for employee training at Gas South, from new hire orientation and content creation to technical training and professional development facilitation. The Manager of Corporate Training will oversee an experienced learning team who execute corporate learning strategy. This position will act as the main Administrator of our Gas South University learning management platform, handling its infrastructure, curriculum, content, usage, and enhancements. This position also monitors and tracks the effectiveness of training companywide and identifies alternatives and additional offerings based on trend analysis.

Other stuff we like:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, adult education, or closely related field.
  • 4 to 6+ years minimum of proven and demonstrated training leadership managing a team of professionals, including performance management, classroom facilitation experience in a corporate or educational environment, especially with both in-person and virtual facilitation delivery. MS Teams experience preferred.
  • Experience and exposure to instructional design methodology and execution of content creation involving various software authoring tools such as Articulate, Rise, infographics, etc.
  • Proven experience leading the efforts of others including coaching and career development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and positively embrace change using emotional intelligence and leadership skills.
  • Experience with modern adult learning theory, experiential, and blended learning, instructional design and remote synchronous and asynchronous virtual and hybrid learning methods.
  • Strong knowledge managing an LMS and learning technology.
  • Ability to conduct trend analyses based on participant feedback, evaluation, and learning results.
  • Experience effectively facilitating both technical and professional, soft skill development training to both leadership and non-managerial audiences.
  • Demonstrated public speaking and strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Being highly organized and able to lead projects using effective project management skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of management and employees.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to identify future training needs and create curricula to facilitate that training

 

 

 

More details on what you would be responsible for:


  • Lead a team of experienced trainers, an instructional designer and coordinator, providing robust and ongoing coaching and career development to ensure goals are met and employee engagement is high.
  • Work closely with business partners to plan for and execute all aspects of technical training in the Customer Care call center and Sales areas with both new hire and tenured employees.
  • Lead all aspects of Gas South University (GSU) to ensure a comprehensive offering of educational curricula, robust training resources (classes, on-line learning tools, self-study materials, etc.), and effective live training sessions offered are housed within and current.
  • Establish and maintain individual employee training records.
  • Create and execute a training communication plan.
  • Setting up executive or leadership development programs as directed.
  • Conduct new hire orientation programs and support on-the-job training needs.
  • Partner with peers and business leaders to analyze their workforce’s performance so that additional training can be created, prescribed, developed, delivered, or otherwise made available.
  • Coordinate and lead identified professional developmental leadership and continuing learning events for employees on compulsory and elective training, managing all learning content, preparation, facilitation, and post-learning activities.
  • Contract and schedule internal and external trainers / presenters and vendors as needed.
  • Establish learning metrics to measure the effectiveness of training and report metrics monthly.
  • Effectively and strategically incorporate new methods of learning, instructional techniques, and instructional technologies to help develop new, exciting, and compelling learning solutions.
  • Conduct specific training needs assessments, as needed, to support the design, development, and delivery of improvements to the corporate training program.
  • Leverage strong project management skills to successfully lead work deliverables, especially regarding performance management systems and processes.
  • Create and manage corporate training budget process, analysis, and oversight.
