Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Instructional Designers to develop and deliver on internal, external, and partner training strategies and content.
- Partner with internal business teams to develop learning strategies and client-specific content that aligns with account need.
- Assess the current state of training content across businesses and drive improvements, creativity, and innovation in the way training content is displayed and distributed.
- Work with Product Enablement teams to produce diverse, multi-modal training content for customers, partners, and internal audiences.
- Partner with stakeholders to build a deep understanding of their needs and bring their needs to life in training content.
- Utilize research on the latest trends and techniques to develop content that resonates with today’s experts.
- Assist with developing and executing new and expanded multimedia training strategies that utilize just-in-time videos and new access locations.
- Assist with the identification and management of new training distribution platforms.
- Manage multiple learning projects including the assignment of projects to team members.
- Hire and manage freelance labor to assist with projects when appropriate.
- Drive the investigation and usage of new technologies that help drive engagement and business results.
- Oversees the development and implementation of multiple learning projects, learning games, distance learning training, and motion graphics.
- Coach team members to improve their instructional design, project management, and technical skills.
- Establish and maintain design standards and provide coaching and feedback to ensure adherence and consistency.
- Assist in QA and final approval of all content types before deployment.
- Measure impact of training initiatives through multiple modes including written surveys and live feedback sessions.
- Utilize content feedback to make informed decisions around changes and impact.
What You'll Need
- Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- 5+ years experience with the creative use of instructional design technologies
- Experience building multiple modes of content for SaaS companies.
- 2+ years experience in a people management role
- Marketing experience (preferred, not required)
- Strong writing and visual design skills and knowledge of the latest learning trends
- Excellent client relations skills; experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders with positive outcomes.
- Ability to quickly learn and translate company information and technology
- Specific knowledge and experience in adult learning theory and delivery methodology, learning trends, and learning management software
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups
- Up to 25% travel
- Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
