About the Role

As the DevOps Manager, you will use your knowledge of AWS trends and business functions in order to optimize our existing infrastructure. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and leaders to define, execute and maintain the vision for Altium’s DevOps strategy by driving/leading processes, security and efficiency.

• Design and implement the Strategy of the DevOps team for Altium’s Cloud Platform (SaaS model)
• Ensure the operational success of the platform from reliability, scalability, and security POV
• Build and manage the DevOps team within the Altium Product Department
• Foster the organizational shift required to achieve the security certification (SOC 2 and alike)
• Work with R&D and IT teams to build a seamless product delivery pipeline
• Participate in delivering/connecting to business goals of the company

• A leader who has a comprehensive understanding of the current infrastructure and can identify areas of concern/weakness from a security, stability, or performance perspective
• The ability to evaluate operational processes and determine ways to improve repeatability, efficiency, and traceability
• A strong history of establishing team-wide monitoring and alerting strategies and systems to ensure excellence in observability and responsiveness
• Able to directly manage a DevOps Engineers
• Significant experience of managing teams to deploy and maintain software development and delivery tool chains, service oriented architectures, data stores
• Significant experience designing, deploying, and supporting production cloud environments in AWS ecosystem
• Strong understanding of cloud computing fundamentals and architectures in high- reliability environments
• Significant understanding of software development fundamentals and best-practices
• Working proficiency and excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
• Experience with a variety of programming languages and ability to learn new as needed
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least twelve (12) years of collective experience in some combination of software engineering, systems operations, or DevOps
• At least twelve (12) years of experience managing complex development, test, integration, and production environments with different versions, building new environments, and providing support for existing ones

The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $210,000 USD. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
