The CDK Global technology team is looking for collaborative innovators who are passionate about making their mark on emerging enterprise software products. We are crafting and honing cloud technology for the automotive retail industry that will change the landscape for automotive dealers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the customers they serve. One of the key roles we are looking for, is a Manager of Engineering, who would provide technical thought leadership to our teams and help optimize, pivot and keep pace with ever-evolving development roadmaps and solutions.

Responsibilities And Benefits You Will Enjoy In This Role:

  • Research and guide decisions on architecture and technology choices for solving the problems on hand.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
  • A strong background in architecture / design and currently be working in a similar role, in a forward thinking and fast paced business.
  • A good understanding of industry standards and best practice techniques to build and maintain enterprise-grade distributed solutions that are cloud native.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience managing multi-location, cross-functional, high-performance, Scrum teams delivering software (SaaS, cloud native/friendly, modern data management technologies, CI/CD) that meets the business needs.
  • 2+ years of experience designing for, measuring, monitoring and ensuring all non-functional aspects of their solutions are addressed properly, including scalability, availability, performance, resiliency, security, maintainability, supportability, and overall system health.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience evangelizing and driving Agile maturity, Engineering excellence, Quality maturity, DevOps culture and Operational excellence with their teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable talking technical matters with the business, and business matters with technical members. And a strong business acumen.
  • Respectful and influential; having the ability to influence, collaborate, push back when needed, approach work rationally and deliver solutions in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong customer focus, people focus, accountability and leadership capabilities, with a bias for action and a high drive for results.
  • An ongoing thirst for new knowledge, continuous improvement, ideas and a passion for software engineering and developing people.
  • Tech skills:
    • Java, Spring/Boot, Hibernate, Oracle, ETL/ELT, Docker / Kubernetes

Preferred qualifications:

  • Automotive retail experience.
  • Experience leading software delivery using vendors.
  • Experience with proactive capacity management of enterprise grade solutions.

Compensation: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 DOE

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
