Job Description

The manager of the fee schedule team will document processes, dependencies, and tools to maintain Medica's provider fee schedules and works with key stakeholders on identifying refinement opportunities. The manager will also look for refinement processes as we continue to grow in expansion markets.

Additionally the manager has knowledge and understanding of market standard and Medica proprietary physician and ancillary rate resources and reimbursement methodologies, supporting strategic initiatives to adapt, implement, and maintain these methodologies. The manager maintains fee schedule data inputs and is a steward of provider finance data. The manager coordinates projects that involve/impact multiple teams and departments.

The incumbent ensures that processes and policies are followed to produce high quality results. The manager proactively engages in identified opportunities and facilitates solutions with various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 years of experience working in Healthcare OR Healthcare Payer required
  • Experience within fee schedule development required
  • Healthcare reimbursement experience required

Specific types of experience or skills required:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with health care claims data, medical coding knowledge a plus
  • Professional experience in data and process management
  • Knowledge of claims systems and related claims payment methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of management on a variety of financial issues
  • Ability to analyze, coordinate, and document numerous projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the Minnetonka or Madison office for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
