Job Description

The Manager of Financial Reporting and Consolidations prepares the Company's filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), assists the Company in implementing newly adopted accounting standards, internal controls, policies and procedures and manages the system of record for the Company's financial statements.

This is a leadership role, which directs the work of several team members within a specialized area (i.e., financial reporting and accounting); and works with peers within the company to assist with problem-solving and educating on accounting impacts of business decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepares all periodic required filings including Forms 10-Q and 10-K. and other SEC filings such as 8-Ks, proxy statements and registration statements.
  • Prepares the Company's internal consolidated financial statements, including executing the consolidation of multiple legal entities with a software package
  • Assists in executing the financial reporting component of the external audit.
  • Assists with the internal audit function and ongoing SOX compliance requirements.
  • Provides financial research efforts related to accounting and reporting requirements of the SEC and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and helps prepare memoranda regarding the Company's positions and/or financial reporting consequences.
  • Assists with the preparation of stock-based compensation expense, technical accounting issues related to stock-based compensation and calculation of Earnings per Share (EPS).

Personnel Management

  • Responsible for recruiting, training and evaluating staff; assists in developing and implementing continued training for professional accounting associates.
  • Establishes and communicates clear performance expectations
  • Provides timely annual performance reviews to all direct reports and ensures that all employees within the department receive annual performance reviews on time
  • Responsible for team results and recommends and /or approves promotions, demotions, transfers or disciplinary actions up to and including termination

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Broad knowledge of SEC regulations and US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to stay knowledgeable about, research and reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting issues.
  • SOX and internal controls experience.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks.
  • Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects required.
  • Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines and respond quickly to management requests.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Exposure to Hyperion or other consolidation software is preferred.
  • Exposure to Wdesk/Workiva or other external reporting software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • Five to seven (5-7) years' experience in a combination of top-tier public accounting firms and public company environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Master's degree preferred, but not required.
  • CPA, active license status required.

Salary: $95,426 - 146,809 annually
Bonus eligible based upon company and individual performance
