Job Summary:
Everest Global Services, a member of Everest Group, Ltd., is seeking a Manager of Investment Accounting within its Financial Services Department in our
Warren, NJ headquarters. This position will interact and support several aspects of accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for the group.
The role will follow a hybrid schedule of up to 2 days per week remote and 3 days per week in the Warren, NJ office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accounting and reporting of investments on a U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory basis.
- Preparation of various U.S. GAAP & U.S. statutory investment schedules.
- Accounting and reconciliation of external and internal debt balances
- Reconciling investment related cash accounts.
- Maintain/monitor investment cash & collateral related to assumed reinsurance and letter of credit business.
- Facilitate the substitution of collateral as needed.
- Support the preparation of standard and ad-hoc reports
- Participation in the monthly and quarterly closing process.
Work Experience & Qualifications
- 7-10 years accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting or business.
- Understanding of accounting (reporting of investments preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented and team oriented.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Proficient with Excel (VLOOKUP's, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables a plus).
- Knowledge of PAM and Bloomberg a plus.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle a plus.
