Manager of IT Business Operations - Nationwide Summary:
As a member of the IT operating committee, the Manager of IT Business Operations is responsible for supporting the CIO and the IT Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on executive projects of varying scope and complexity. The person will be an active participant in all aspects of these projects, which includes monthly reports prepared for the CLT, quarterly reports prepared for the SLT, and bi-annual reports prepared for the IT Strategy Committee and the Board of Directors, and is accountable for managing issues and risks, providing status reports and making regular updates to the CIO and IT SLT. This person ensures all stakeholders are identified and appropriately engaged. The responsibilities of this role require strong organizational and critical thinking skills, the ability to plan ahead, anticipate issues and communicate professionally at an executive and senior management levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Develop and execute project plans for IT Senior Leadership Team initiatives, for example: leadership events, IT Sr. leadership summits and workshops, IT Town Halls, annual recognition programs, IT Strategy Committee meetings, IT Operating meetings, and bi-annual RSM US Board Digital Experience updates. Collaboration with appropriate leadership as well as team and non-team members to ensure deliverables and resource requirements are properly planned for and that projects are delivered on-time & within budget.
Act as relationship manager for assigned programs/projects, providing start to finish oversight through delivery of all Program/project deliverables - including deliverable coordination, workflow and handoffs, risks, and issue management. Acts as primary point of project support for project sponsors. Identifies and engages with the execution team and stakeholders to provide guidance and leadership required to meet the objectives of the project. Communicates effectively at all levels including team members and firm leaders.
Facilitate cross functional project teams and stakeholder meetings, communications and follow up. May attend meetings remote or in-person as needed by project and/or assignment.
Effectively manage change and identify / mitigate project risks and issues

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- or equivalent experience required
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS:
- Project management experience
- Business writing experience required
- Proficient in MS Office required
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written at all levels of the firm
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Project Management or Program Management certification - Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5+ years relevant business project management experience required
- Prefer experience with a mid to large size firm(s) in professional services
- Prefer experience in a highly matrixed structure as well experience
LEADERSHIP SKILLS:
- Ability to work autonomously and to lead a team
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Able to coach and mentor others in project management skills
- Ability to manage concurrent projects and/or programs
- Ability to attract, lead, motivate, and retain a team
- Ability to work and lead efficiently with remote team members
