We are looking for a hands-on manager to lead our IT Engineering team. The team is focused on network optimization, patching, monitoring, server connects control & site operations in a WFH call center environment. The manager is a skilled professional who is a technical go to, mentor and coach for the team. The role would be 75% hands on and 25% strategic/managerial for a highly technical group.
Ideal person for this role has worked in a mostly non Microsoft server environment with experience in Google Suite, Slack, Cloudflare and networking/patching tools and is skilled with a scripting language.
The individual would work with peers that manage support, devops, security and call center groups. This is not a frontline user support manager, AWS Environment Manager or Security Manager Role.
Duties:
The candidate would own the processes below
- Monitor, tune, secure employee workstations in WFH environment
- Apply best in class VPN/alternatives to route traffic including VOIP
- Monitor home network quality, coach to resolve, auto escalate as needed
- Ensure minimal loss of quality for WFH call center agents
- Automate/script commonly performed tasks by the group including user setups, advanced privileges.
- Partner in Vendor procurement, contract review/feedback, and SOW process management, Infosec review requests
- Manage and deliver several large high risk/visibility and complex projects simultaneously.
 Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required. Master’s degree in Information Technology, or relevant related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in information operations & networking. 5 years of experience as manager.
- Advanced skills in Cloudflare, Automox, Google GAM, Slack
- Experience with Powershell or python scripting knowledge
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts, data loss prevention (DLP) and principles to relate business needs to security
- Has leadership skills to communicate and present strategic company goals into an actionable product execution roadmap
- Well prepared for Major Incidents and ability to provide mitigation plans against future events based on Incident Reports
