Requirements: Candidate must have Associate or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, or related disaster management field and minimum 4 years of field experience in business disaster recovery testing and/or declaration, including on-site mobile set-up, budgeting and project operations. Experience must include: customer events management and resolution to meet SLA; vendor coordination and relationship management; development, documentation, communication of SOPs; project management; technical support and assistance for sales. Must have demonstrated experience in coaching/mentoring/leading team and providing 24x7x365 on-call support as needed.
Job Duties: Develop, maintain, or implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions. Manage mobile recovery services (MRS) center operations as directed to ensure contractual obligations and customer expectations are met for assigned projects. Maintain documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures as required. Plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly. Act as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event. Develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets, such as data centers. test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans. Apply knowledge and experience in project management. Negotiate rates and coordinate with outside vendors for resources as required, such as mobile vendors, fuel vendors, temporary labor agencies, data wiring subcontractors, transportation/logistics companies, and generator providers, ensuring strategic and optimal engagement for customer testing and disaster declarations. Forecast budgets for projects, tests, declarations as dictated by customer requirements. Maintain financial control of testing and disaster recoveries including pos, invoicing, and reconciliation of costs vs. budget. Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) to assure quality and maximize economies and efficiencies of operations. Create and maintain documentation of events and contacts in internal software systems. Prepare reports as required to summarize testing activities, summarize operational results, financial performance, or accomplishments of specified objectives. Communicate effectively with senior management and/or executives. assist business development teams, pre-sales, sales support, member services and external business partners as requested to generate and/or technically verify proposals for MRS solutions. Apply knowledge of canopy generators and working knowledge of electricity related to sizing feeds for customer site, connecting generators to mobile units and customer facility, and advising customers around generator setup, operation, installation and placement. Provide leadership and training as necessary to project teams. Coach and mentor individuals through site surveys, alerts, declares, other related activities. May create or administer training and awareness presentations or materials. Ensure on-call support (24x7x365) for technical difficulties during tests or disasters. Escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner. Maintain after-hours rotation schedule for mobile operations team. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
