Job Description

Under the direction and leadership of the VP/Executive Director Social Responsibility, the Manager of Operations provides operational leadership and support, oversees the coordination and execution of assigned projects, and develops and monitors outcome measures for key Social Responsibility programs. They define and execute workflows and processes that seamlessly and successfully accomplish the end-to-end planning, execution, implementation, outcomes, and recapping of various sized programs, projects, and operational initiatives to advance the social impact of the credit union and Foundation. They collaborate with Social Responsibility Leadership and stakeholders at multiple levels throughout the organization. This position leads a team of Program Coordinators and Program Analyst as a member of the functional leadership team focused on the Give & Grow strategy of Desert Financial, the Foundation and its mission of sharing success

What you will do here:

Project and Program Coordination:

Leads tracking, assigning, and resource allocation to Project & Program Coordinators to meet department objectives and initiatives

Reviews deliverables, deadlines, and resources needed from Program Manager and/or Social Responsibility Leadership to assign to coordinator team members

Leverages tools, resources and partners to strengthen and scale the impact of all programs

Leads enterprise-wide project intake and determines scope and assignment to Social Responsibility project team

System Management and Implementation:

Leads and supports direct and indirect reports in the management and maintenance of the employee engagement portal (YourCause/Blackbaud), non-profit CRM and donor database (Salesforce (NPSP), online tools to support the collaborative implementation of projects for multiple programs (Airtable and Microsoft Teams), implementation of online applications for funding requests and vendor management related to these systems

Coordinates efforts with BI, IT, and internal team members to identify system solutions and help track projects and program results to completion

Training and Process Development:

Lead and support direct and indirect reports in creating and documenting cohesive and holistic processes and procedures for all programs (current and future)

Support direct and indirect reports regarding data entry requirements, including what is required for measuring program impact, community giving guidelines, grant reporting, Foundation fundraisers, and Foundation Scholarships.

Transformational Leadership:

Directly contributes to the development of capabilities and functional expertise of direct reports

Hire, mentor, and train a team including goal setting, performance evaluation, and development

Monitors employee performance; uses sound management, coaching, and interpersonal skills to influence, motivate, and develop staff, including those who are not direct reports

Budget Management and Impact Reporting:

Collaborates on the creation of annual budgets (credit union and Foundation) and works with Finance, Accounting, and multiple team members to ensure the accuracy of budget and contribution projections, the Give & Grow dashboard, and provides key metrics for the annual community impact report.

Identifies and develops impact measures and data points that help strengthen communication and reporting on impact and quality of SR programs

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, or related field preferred; or Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

3+ years of experience with mid to large complex, enterprise level community development projects required.

3+ years of leadership experience and working collaboratively with diverse teams required.

1+ year corporate or nonprofit social impact experience required.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to facilitate successful partnerships; previous Public Speaking experience; ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences; ability to communicate with diverse audiences effectively required.

Effective time and work management of multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines required.

Strong planning and project management skills required.

Demonstrated ability to influence peers, groups and leaders, lead and develop team members, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality required.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, Airtable, Salesforce, Tableau required.

Valid Arizona driver license. Motor vehicle record will be screened and the incumbent must meet Company guidelines required.
