The Team:

We are a small but passionate team of 100+ based in the Bay Area. Aisera’s seasoned founding team has led companies through several prior successful startups and acquisitions. Our team members operate with a high degree of empathy for our customers and each other. We are looking for an experienced Manager of Platform Engineering that can help build and lead a strong platform engineering team. 

What You’ll Do:

• Manage engineering projects for the platform with multiple deadlines and degrees of complexity, using Agile methodologies
• Communicate regular updates to internal stakeholders
• Recruit and train engineering staff and motivate a top-notch engineering organization
• Communicate efficiently to both engineers and upper management
• Be familiar with current trends in Data Pipelines, and Training and Scoring Pipelines for AI Services, and where appropriate implement key learnings

What You’ll Need 

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field
• 5-10 years of experience as a technical lead or manager in the field of Platform Engineering
• Prior experience, or familiarity, with Microservices-based architectures and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of Data Models, Database Schemas, and Persistence Stores’ Management and Abstractions including RDBMS, Elastic etc.
• Extensive experience on projects around platform Scalability, Monitoring, and Security
• Industry-leading expertise with cloud services
• Experience managing engineering projects (platform and data related) and teams is required. 
• Prior roles in which you and your team managed data platform projects
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
