The Manager of Platform Engineering plays a key role in our technical leadership, guiding the development and operation of our platform. This role involves managing and leading the platform engineering team, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the platform, and collaborating with various stakeholders across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the platform engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance reviews.

  • Assist in establishing and implementing the technical vision for the platform, in alignment with company goals.

  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the platform, while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, requirements, and standards.

  • Collaborate with other teams, stakeholders, and leadership to identify, prioritize, and implement key platform initiatives.

  • Oversee the development and deployment processes, ensuring best practices in coding and testing are followed.

  • Act as a servant leader, resolving technical issues, impediments, and challenges that could hinder the team's ability to effectively deliver their sprint commitments.

  • Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the platform remains competitive.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.

  • Ability to make technical contributions as needed.

  • Comprehensive understanding of systems engineering principles.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience leading multiple scrum teams within an agile organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams in a regulated environment, including adherence to standards such as the PCI DSS, SOX, etc.

  • Proven experience in collaborating effectively with mid- to senior-level leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate productive relationships across various levels of the organization.
