About the role: The Manager of Procurement is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement process for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services. In this leadership role, you will be the most senior person responsible for Procurement across the company and report to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will be a hard driving individual who can work autonomously while directing procurement, managing vendor and partnership relationships, developing procurement policies and procedures, and creating a centralized procurement program that will add value and efficiency to the organization.

The Procurement team will have tactical responsibility for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support the company’s acquisition and materials management of goods and services – for both resale, customer integration and internal use.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate, and implement long-term goals for the procurement team to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary contact for procurement related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
  • Oversee contract development and administration.
  • Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization.
  • Manage current procurement policies, procedures, and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate, and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed.
  • Develop a centralized procurement program that adds value and efficiency to the organization.
  • Process purchase orders; develops bids and proposals; and reconcile any invoice discrepancies.
  • Plan and manage supplier sourcing, selecting, and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve procurement KPIs to minimize cost and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with major suppliers, vendors, and partners, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, trends, and cost savings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal department heads and stakeholders to identify and fulfill procurement requirements and long-term needs.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, innovations, and best practices to maintain competitive advantage.

What Skills & Experience You’ll Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field.
  • 7-10 years of related experience, ideally within the IT services/MSP industry.
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance.
  • Experience with sourcing and procurement and building a vendor program.
  • Experience with managing vendor and partnership relationships
  • Solid analytical and computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Outstanding team building and leadership skills.

  • We have a comprehensive Compensation Management System which establishes the guidelines we use in making compensation decisions and is comprised of compensation policies, salary structures, salary grades, incentive target guidelines, job descriptions, and career charts. 
  • This position’s Salary Range is $110-120,000 (NOTE: this is the range at the national average level; specific salaries offered will be adjusted higher/lower due to the local labor market of the candidate. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons).
