About You
We are looking for a passionate leader who has experience in Managing Project Management operations. In this multifaceted role, you will lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and be responsible for ensuring Time-to-Value and quality of service for our clients. Your Project Management experience, combined with your client-centric approach will drive efficient project delivery and ensure successful project outcomes for our Implementation team. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing project management processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices, all while delivering outstanding client experiences.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
- Plan project management activities and standards, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Manage multiple, simultaneous organizational projects of varying scope and duration while coordinating efforts with various team members on each project.
- Oversee the execution of projects and ensure that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
- Work closely with Sales and Client Success to assist in creating and refining SOWs for client engagements.
- Review, improve and draft Implementation policies and processes.
- Continuously evaluate client engagements to ensure they are meeting Ad Astra standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy in project creation and execution as well as documenting scope, budget, and justification, as needed.
- Effectively communicate expectations and standards to Project Management team.
- Maintain and aspire to exceed team and company goals.
- Travel as needed, (approx. 25%)
Required:
- Bachelor's degree emphasis in a technical, project management, or business-related field.
- At least 2 years of Project Management Office Management experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Management.
- Experience in Software Implementation with a strong understanding of SaaS, on-prem, single-tenant, multi-tenant, etc. product architectures.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally or in written form with all levels of the organization, and able to influence a larger team to perform toward the same goal.
- Successful track record of managing motivated, collaborative, and productive cross functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to review and interpret multiple complex data points to utilize in decision making and departmental direction.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable with Client and Stakeholder presentations.
- Must be self-motivated, take initiative, and be able to lead others in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft product suite; specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience using Financial Force-PSA (or other project management suite), HubSpot, Zendesk, and Salesforce.
- Previous experience working within the Higher Education Industry.
- Project Management Credentials: PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP.
- Experience in Change or Risk Management within Software Operations.
- Experience in internal training.

This position is located in Overland Park, Kansas. Ad Astra does not pay for relocation expenses.
