Power Design is seeking a motivated PR and marketing communications professional who's ready to join a growing team of brand champions. This role will foster deeper and broader relationships with our public and trade media partners, help build a social pipeline focused on key business strategies and exciting cultural stories, and develop rich communications across our customers' journey. As a Manager, we're looking for someone with a passion for developing people, excellent communications skills (written and verbal), and a collaborative approach to work alongside a talented and fun-loving brand team.

position details/responsibilities

• Own and deepen our media, trade, and community relationships.
• Develop strategies that build our audience, engagement, brand reputation and sentiment.
• Actively perform media outreach and pitching to expand our contacts and effectively gain coverage.
• Develop and implement external marketing communications campaigns.
• Determine strategic marketing and content campaigns that will help further organizational goals.
• Develop messaging for internal business lines.
• Create external communications protocols and initiatives that will support process and employee morale.
• Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization's brand and compelling to our external audiences.
• Define key performance indicators for each communications channel that will indicate a campaign's level of success; own those communication channels and ensure quality content in each.
• Manage marketing specialists-focused on content development, website and blog channels, owned and paid social, customer communications, as well supporting our efforts in PR and trade media.
• Monitor and evaluate our performance data across platforms, evolving our go-to-market based on insights, trends, and audience needs.
• Work with internal department leads and executives to build out messaging and marketing-communication plans.
• Lead the team and help support their growth plans, and a strong team culture overall.

here's what we're looking for

• Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's is preferred. Ideally in public relations, marketing, communications, or another related field.
• 7-10 years prior experience working in a PR, marketing, content development, and/or communications role is required.
• Experience successfully mentoring, supervising, and/or managing individuals.
• Superior written and verbal communications skills. Ability to provide writing samples or a portfolio.
• Experience in business-to-business marketing/communications.
• Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns.
• Steady pulse on industry trends and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to think analytically and strategically.
• Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.
• Great multitasker, capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, proven success working with teams and with stakeholders/clients.
