Manager of Software Engineering (Remote)

Job Summary: 

Medically Home's Technology Team is responsible for creating and executing the roadmap for the company's core software product offering: Cesia Continuum. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you’ll contribute to realizing our vision for a decentralized healthcare system by taking accountability for key engineering products and directly managing world-class engineers.

A critical part of that product strategy is to provide clinical value through workflow, data and analytics, so you'll work closely with our clinical and product team leadership team to find opportunities to deliver high value, measurable clinical interventions that are enabled - uniquely - by our platform.? As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of engineering leadership challenges beyond front-line management, with an opportunity to work closely with our executive leadership team, customers, and operations. 

Reports To: Sr. Director, Software Engineering.

Location: Remote 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Manage, lead and develop engineers focused on back-end Java and .NET. 

• Lead major engineering projects, taking accountability for delivery, schedule, and resource requirements. 

• Provide technical guidance, review, and collaboration for engineering team members. 

• Contribute to the formulation of a strong engineering culture focused on high code quality and predictable delivery. 

• Support, with the product team, evaluation of new technologies in the marketplace that are related to remote acute care. 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer developing scalable, high-reliability systems in .NET or Java 

• 2+ Experience managing engineers of different seniority levels 

• Demonstrated experience architecting and building large-scale software systems 

• Experience in Agile methodologies. 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience integrating healthcare systems, particularly remote monitoring tools. 

• Experience with telephony and/or video platform architecture. 

• Background in healthcare related applications.
