Job Description:
The Manager of Supply Chain IT leads a group Developers and Technical Service Analysts in the Information Technology department and acts as the face of this team to internal customers. This individual sets team expectations on deliverables, communicates with internal clients, and identifies and proactively solves any problems. The Manager is responsible for continuous improvement of software management and development processes. Up to 10% travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members (Back Office Technology, Store Systems & Technologies, IT Security, Business, Engineering, etc.) to create secure, reliable, and scalable systems solutions
- Works with the business and Supply Chain IT to plan and execute projects in a timely manner while delivering upon the customer's expectations
- Serves as escalation point for the staff on the team as well as providing leadership, mentoring, and coaching
- Directly manages Developers and Technical Service Analysts to ensure career growth and development
- Serves as an expert in the Supply Chain Information Systems field and provides leadership and direction to IT and Supply Chain business on industry best practices
- Partners with IT RMO (Project Management) to align on Agile standards for documenting requirements and managing development, testing, and deployment
- Collaborates with business owners on IT requests related to Supply Chain and translates them into actionable requirements
- Leads the development of custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases.
- Creates monitoring and alerting processes to allow for real time awareness and support of system issues across all stores
- Progress and sustain a technology architecture that enables consistent uptime, service monitoring, awareness of integration to other systems, and minimizes impact of downtime
- Discovers new opportunities to optimize the IT service delivery through improved processes and functional enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology preferred
- 3+ years of people management experience
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years leading 3rd party software development
- 3+ years' experience with Warehouse Management systems and applications
- Experience with Agile frameworks, continuous integration and continuous deployment, Microsoft DevOps, and Azure development
- Experience implementing applications using .Net framework with C# and SQL
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skill with the ability to multitask to balance immediate and long/term priorities preferred
- Effective oral and written communication
- Effective at balancing workload across team as well as translating high level strategy to tactical execution
- Prefer experience working with High Jump or other WMS applications
