About the team
Account Management
At GBG Americas, our Account Management team is the backbone of our client success. The role
As part of the Americas GTM team, the Manager of Technical Accounts role will have the opportunity to really make a mark on the future success of GBG, and our record of achievements. Working from our Atlanta headquarters, the role will report to the VP of Customer Experience within this fast paced and acquisitive organisation. Your focus will pivot around synergizing with Fraud, Implementations, and Sales teams. The role demands driving client loyalty, formulating revenue enhancement strategies, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Your responsibilities also extend to onboarding, training, professional development, and addressing client concerns.
What you will do
This role will oversee our client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and longevity. You'll spearhead strategies to both nurture current clients and attract new ones. Leading a dedicated team, you'll collaborate with other departments and support our sales efforts, all while maintaining the high standards GBG Americas is known for. This position requires strategic leadership, relationship management, and effective collaboration with other teams, particularly during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the Account Management team. As the Manager of Technical Accounts, you will steer the strategic direction for the Technical Account team, emphasizing product adoption and an unparalleled customer journey. Your role encompasses building and guiding a top-tier technical account team, fostering inter-departmental collaboration, and ensuring client success. Proactively identifying and addressing potential client challenges will be key, alongside presenting vital Quarterly Business Reviews to our strategic accounts. Your responsibilities also extend to collaborating with our Product and Marketing teams.
Requirements
- Strategic leadership- An individual who can lead the vision and direction with an aggressive, proactive approach to growth for the Account Management team, ensuring that our engagements with clients are meaningful
- Relationship Management & Cross Selling- A professional adept at building strong relationships with existing clients while identifying avenues for cross-selling and upselling, ensuring that clients get the full range of our offerings
- Drive for growth- A forward thinker always on the lookout for ways to expand our client base, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and top-notch
- Exceptional Analytical Skills- Adept at interpreting and translating data into actionable strategies, ensuring optimized performance and informed decision-making within the technical account sphere.
- Team mentorship- A leader ready to provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to the Director of Account Management, ensuring seamless teamwork and department success.
- Cross functional agility- An individual comfortable collaborating with various departments from stakeholders to analytics research-ensuring initiatives and projects move forward cohesively
- Sales Support-Someone adept at working alongside and offering support to our sales teams, ensuring client acquisition and retention align with our sales goals
- Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of network, infrastructure, operating systems, and database technologies. Comfortable with technical interactions with customers.
- Reporting Skills: Proven capability in crafting customer reports and effectively presenting Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in telecommunications and/or the payment industry is a definite advantage.
- Executive Communication: Comfort and experience in liaising and presenting to C-level executives.
- Analytical Tools: Familiarity with tools like Tableau and a general proficiency with relevant software platforms.
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and a mature approach to work is essential
- The ability to autonomously plan your workload and focus on the right priorities
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
