Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Manager of Content Strategy to lead our Product Design - Content Strategy team in Charlotte, NC or Remote within the U.S. This position would lead the product design content strategy team, own the strategy for cross-platform content and develop standards, guidelines and content practices for all our product experiences across the SaaS portfolio. You would be leading a team of content strategists whose skills in writing practices range, giving you the ability to mentor and coach a growing team. We are a collaborative, diverse team of product designers, researchers, and writers who value winning as a team and innovating to change the industry. Our team is mostly on the east coast, but we are open to remote candidates for this position.

What You'll Do
- Lead a content team that collaborates with cross-functional partners from product, engineering, business, marketing, and others.
- Identify the strengths of your team members and create opportunities for them to improve content strategy across products.
- Use systems thinking to connect the dots across experiences and teams to create a cohesive experience that delights new and existing users.
- Guide the strategic thinking of the content team, their processes and goals. As well as driving the team's prioritization and capabilities.
- Consult with partners across product, design, marketing, and engineering to prioritize the teams' efforts.
- Create programs to educate content strategists on the usage of tools to help them raise the bar on their content skill sets.
- Provide meaningful feedback and guide the management of stakeholder input to improve the team's skills, perspectives, and content solutions.
- Guide your team through producing documentation that ensures features and functionality are well understood by users, stakeholders and detailed enough for engineering to develop.
- Champion cohesion and consistency by delivering content strategy that promotes our organization's experience strategy and users' needs.
- Nurture AvidXchange culture and principles within your team and the product design practice.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience as a content strategist, UX writer, or similar content role.
- 1 or more years of experience leading large-scale initiatives and the ability to manage 2 or more individual contributors.
- A track record of delivering high-quality digital products that delivered results and demonstrate the depth of your skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies as applicable.
- Proven experience communicating and presenting complex problems clearly across different audiences and levels of the organization.
- A proven ability to evaluate the customer needs and business impact of your content decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree and/ or equivalent working experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked on content for software products previously.
- 2 or more years of management experience.
- Experience communicating content strategy practices and mentoring others.
