Who We Want

The Manager, Operations will lead the coordination of operational and administrative support activities to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the Carson Wealth | The Shobe Financial Group office. In particular, this person will manage operational items in order to allow our executives and planners to focus on caring for clients. This candidate will also act as a liaison with the other functional departments at the Carson Home office and externally with the local vendors to manage and assign areas of responsibility. This is an onsite position located in Baton Rouge, LA.

What to expect:

This person will be involved in a number of key operational areas:

GENERAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS:

  • Manage the Director of First Impressions to ensure smooth operation of our business and front office area.
  • Oversee the activities of the interns, assigning them tasks to help the planning department and others.
  • Coordinate with DOFI and finance interns to provide administrative support to the Chairman, President and execute team.
  • Track progress on projects outlined by monthly office planning days.
  • Coordinate with the Home Office talent team on all HR-related activities.

FINANCIAL EVALUATION:

  • Review with and gather financial information from Chairman and President.
  • Coordinate expenses and revenue between CWTSFG and Carson Home Office in Omaha.

COMPLIANCE:

  • Manage and oversee the completion of compliance activities required of our local office. Coordinate with Carson's compliance team and other entities, as needed.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

  • Coordinate marketing activities with the Home Office Marketing team, follow and implement the CW-TSFG marketing calendar with Marketing Specialist in Omaha.

OFFICE FACILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of our office facilities and equipment.
  • Coordinate with local vendors as maintenance or repairs are necessary.
  • Manage the lease agreement.

What You Need

  • 5+ years' experience working in an administrative and operational capacity
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with executives and senior leaders
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and complete work efficiently
  • MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint proficiency to produce professional documents
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
  • Ability to follow instructions, including a strong adherence to meet deadlines.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to resolve routine client questions
  • Verbal communication skills to communicate ideas and thoughts in a clear, professional manner
  • Detail-oriented to ensure the accuracy of reports, correspondence and databases
  • Ability to work ethically and with integrity, including maintaining client and firm confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Licensed with Series 7, 63, and 24
  • Experience working in Salesforce
  • Experience working in the financial services industry
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
