Job Description

What You'll Do:
This role serves an integral part in the governance, risk management, and compliance ("GRC") and administrative functions for all groups within Business Operations and Corporate Risk Management. This role will develop and manage initiatives to promote continuous process and control improvement through, but not limited to, exam management, findings management, change management, control development and testing, and reporting. Collaboration efforts with and the second and third lines of defense and external partners are essential to implement an efficient and effective control infrastructure and evaluate risk thresholds. This role will manage and influence the professional development and work responsibilities of other team members. This role will act as a culture champion by promoting OCC's culture and implementing team building exercises.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • Manage a team(s) responsible for efforts to improve process and control environment through collaboration with departments and second and third lines of defense based on self-identification and self-testing, external or internal audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, or risk assessments
  • Manage, create and update the documentation of team responsibilities through the development and maintenance of governance documents such as procedures and job aids
  • Manage the findings and remediation lifecycle to ensure satifactory of deliverables, root cause is addessed, risk mitigiation and on-time achievement of milestones.
  • Manage the listing of tracked observations identified during the exam period and update Legal as required
  • Participate and/or present to the Regulatory Compliance Working Group (RCOG) to seek approvals and feedback to Owner Complete findings
  • Create and manage team training materials and development content as needed to support the growth of junior team members
  • Proactively communicate best practices and seek opportunities to increase efficiency in the current business processes
  • Manage and advise the staff responsible for departments engaged in the Renaissance Initiative through the Policy & Procedure Change Management process
  • Manage and report progress through active collaboration with subject matter experts during transition of governance documentation
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of related policies, procedures, job aids, and controls to demonstrate cohesiveness and adherence to the Policy Governance Policy (PGP) and regualtory obligations through change management
  • Manage and assign internal and external exam requests to ensure completeness and accuracy by evaluating operational effectiveness
  • Advise team and management on exam-related matters
  • Mentor and train staff to support the expansion and evaluation of control infrastructure and OCC improvements
  • Influence timelines and expectations amongst staff
  • Manage applications such as the annual commercial insurance program renewal.
  • Coordinate and assemble reporting presentation materials

Technical Skills:

  • [Required] Highly proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • [Preferred] Experience with Governance and Risk & Compliance Software such as Archer


Education and/or Experience:

  • [Required] Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related work experience required.
  • [Required] 7+ years of experience with audit, compliance and enterprise risk or related advisory function
  • [Required] Knowledge of the COSO Framework and SOC reporting
  • [Required] Strong collaboration, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
