The Manager - Operations & Strategic Initiatives will assist in the growth and ongoing operational success of Nordic's business initiatives. They will lead and support collaborative efforts on strategic and operational issues and provide guidance and support to departmental operations. They will work regularly with the Nordic Strategic Initiatives and Nordic Leadership teams to build relationships, monitor performance, improve processes, solve problems, and capitalize on opportunities to strengthen Nordic.
The Manager - Operations & Strategic Initiatives will have the following responsibilities, focused on the support of Strategic Initiatives and Operations across Nordic, including but not limited to:
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategic transformation tools, inclusive of framework, prioritization methodology, tools, reporting, etc., as well as training teams on tools methodology and utilization
  • Understanding identified opportunities for performance improvement or efficiencies; developing and executing initiatives across the enterprise to realize said identified opportunities
  • Coordinating cross-business lines and across geographies to drive operational transparency and efficiency
  • Leading enterprise-wide operational and strategic initiatives
  • Growing and fostering relationships across all Nordic family of companies to help drive consistent and integrated operations
  • Consulting and collaborating with key leaders and resources across the enterprise to gain alignment and driving adoption of new initiatives, including enhanced initiatives from current processes and systems
  • Supporting performance management, resource management and development activities by offering lessons learned from prior experience and adapt it to best fit Nordic
  • Support internal people development, inclusive of interviewing, resource onboarding activities, resource leadership / mentoring
  • Leading and/or supporting special initiatives based on shifting or new priorities
  • Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist in other initiatives, as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested


Skills and Experience
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic's maxims
  • Post-secondary or equivalent experience in business, healthcare, or related field required
  • 6+ years in the healthcare industry required
  • Robust business acumen and understanding of business operations
  • Experience in successfully managing complex, enterprise-wide projects, inclusive of experience with actionable roadmap development, organizational buy-in, and execution to achieve organization's strategic goals
  • Demonstrated history of managing transformations / programs and respective teams
  • Demonstrated success establishing rapport quickly and collaborating effectively within an organization
  • Strong background of cross-functional facilitation
  • Proven ability to work and communicate effectively and efficiently across all levels of an organization
  • Excellent interaction skills, collaborative work style, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable; Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and to alter approach or method to successfully lead change, reacting well under pressure
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and other collaboration tools, including virtual meeting and cloud technologies
