POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager Operations Technology plays a critical role in managing the implementation and continuous improvement of technology to improve operations and business benefits. They will lead cross-functional collaboration with Area leaders, Field leaders, Implementation team, Labor Relations, corporate stakeholders, Information Technology, and vendor groups. The new technologies will enable enhanced experiences for our customers and drive greater efficiency across a network of more than 20,000 Drivers, Dispatchers, Supervisors, and Managers. This position supports a core and foundational component of the Company's future-state roadmap and acts as a team leader to support efforts to integrate and execute our operational technology and process-based solutions.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and owns all aspects of program and product development
- Manages and provides technical expertise, guidance, and leadership to the Implementation team and other key stakeholders
- Oversees Implementation & Deployment of cutting edge in-cab technology
- Works to anticipate deployment issues and develop mitigation options
- Leads and supports the pre-planning, deployment, and ongoing adoption of in-cab technologies and processes to Republic's field organization.
- Serves as the key liaison for support leadership, cross-functional teams, and the field to ensure program deliverables are achieved on time.
- Monitors performance and deployment execution while developing actions plans to redirect as appropriate.
- Actively generates recommendations on improvements/efficiencies for process or programmatic changes.
- Routinely reviews product enhancements and field related training materials to ensure all training aids, and learning solutions remain relevant.
- Works closely with technology vendors to develop products to meet business needs, outlining requirements and developing a comprehensive roadmap.
- Manages vendor relations and engages in industry networking to uncover new technologies and foster relationships.
- Leads and executes new technology pilots and builds business cases around proven technology aimed at driving operational business benefits.
- Establishes and maintains logistical alignment across various vendors.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking and an ability to execute against formulated strategy
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives
- Strong ability to manage, lead and develop a results-driven team
- Experience with technical product development, technology deployments, and fleet implementations
- Ability to understand and solve complex business challenges and their interrelations across various business functions
- Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and ability to lead, influence and motivate others
- Proven experience at effectively planning and prioritizing multiple cross-functional projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative thinker who challenges conventional solutions.
- Has strong leadership skills and proven judgment of talent, with an emphasis on hiring and developing high performance teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and skills, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager.
