The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Manager, Partner Management to join our Partner Management team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Partner will focus on growing AMCN subscription & streaming services, supporting linear network and ad-supported streaming (FAST, AVOD, ad-enabled subscription tiers) platform performance, and expanding content distribution opportunities through distribution partnerships. The Partner Management team is part of the larger AMCN Commercial Revenue organization. The Manager will work cross-functionally to execute partner initiatives that are directly tied to the strategic revenue goals of the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to synthesize paid and partner marketing to support performance goals. A background in linear and streaming media is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategies with distribution partners to drive subscriptions to our streaming services (AMC+, WE tv+, Shudder, Sundance Now, Acorn, ALLBLK, IFC Films Unlimited) and to generally support our partnership efforts with our distribution partners (keeping partners updated as to AMCN priorities and upcoming programming beats and initiatives, and understanding our partners’ various priorities so we can be better aligned and competitive). Work closely with our deal team – once deals are signed with our distribution partners, our client relations team is responsible for collaborating with those distribution partners to execute.

  • Support the SVP and Director(s) in the development and implementation of sales distribution strategies for accounts, including creating sales materials and presentations, preparing and presenting programming updates for and to clients, compiling research insights, maintaining account summaries, and helping to prepare for and develop “keep AMC” campaigns in advance of deal renewals.

  • Represent client relations team internally and develop strong relationship with internal departments including Deal Team, Finance/Strategy, Marketing, Product Team and Brands, Operations as well as understanding and executing on existing contractual marketing commitments, and having a strong familiarity with and understanding of industry trends and partner specific data.

  • Manage, track and measure the results of sales distribution efforts, contractual compliance, and marketing partnerships and assist in the overall tracking of partner reporting, data collection and analysis for key accounts.

  • Develop and manage strong working relationships with assigned distribution partners and represent the account specific strategy to key stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Represent AMC Networks and reinforce the value of its brands and services at client meetings and industry events to influence clients and help sell through to customers.

  • Identify and assess new business opportunities with new accounts and areas within existing accounts to drive incremental revenue streams.

  • Monitor, track and communicate industry developments, including:

    • Announcements of new deals with industry peers and programmers.

    • Product developments and technological innovations among television distribution outlets (e.g., Comcast, DirecTV, , YouTube, Philo, etc.).

    • New device innovations (e.g., AppleTV, Roku, Google Chromecast, Samsung, etc.).

    • Other relevant industry news.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience

  • Broad knowledge of the media industry, company organization, policies and practices.

  • Excellent knowledge, with proven experience, of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management and with clients.

  • Well organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy.

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience.
