This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Partnership Development, Agriculture & Food in Canada.
This role is centered on building impactful partnerships across the agriculture and agri-food ecosystem to help improve access to nutritious food for communities nationwide. You will play a key role in expanding food donation networks by engaging producers, manufacturers, and industry stakeholders, primarily across Atlantic Canada. The position combines strategic relationship building, sales-driven outreach, and mission-oriented collaboration with food banks and distribution partners. You will contribute directly to strengthening food recovery and redistribution systems, ensuring greater efficiency and impact across the supply chain. Working in a highly collaborative and purpose-driven environment, you will translate outreach efforts into measurable outcomes that support national food security goals. This is a meaningful role where business development expertise is applied directly to social impact.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire food donations aligned with organizational goals within the agriculture and agri-food sectors, primarily in Atlantic Canada.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, growers, processors, manufacturers, and wholesalers to increase the volume and quality of food donations.
- Collaborate closely with food bank networks to optimize the recovery, coordination, and distribution of donated food.
- Design and execute targeted outreach, sales strategies, and partnership development plans to expand donor engagement.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential partners, clearly communicating impact and value.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on partnership performance and food acquisition outcomes to inform strategy and improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales, business development, fundraising, or account management with a strong record of results.
- Proven experience in agriculture, agri-business, food procurement, or related sectors.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to quickly establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset with strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging external partners.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.
- Competitive salary range aligned with experience (CAD 72,418 – CAD 90,522 annually).
