Where You'll Come InThis is a phenomenal opportunity to build TFD’s Payroll and HRIS processes and procedures from the ground up. The Payroll & HRIS Manager will be responsible for owning the multiple state payroll processing for the bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll schedule in partnership with Justworks, our Professional Employer Organization provider. This person will run and deploy data systems and solutions for a ”single source of truth” for human capital data across the company. This position will be instrumental in the transition from our PEO to in-house systems. You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Humans Operations.
How You'll Make An Impact- Take a solutions-focused and collaborative approach to implementing and improving our Humans systems and processes to support the business.
- Objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issues to find resolution, and supervising progress.
- Use past experience working within other companies to identify and implement the best tools, processes and practices.
- Accountable for timely and accurate payroll processing, data integrity and implementation of SOPs.
- Change our current manual processes and mentor the team to move toward automatic processes and tools.
- Have touchpoints with multiple key departments such as Humans, CX, Finance, IT, and Cyber Security.
- At least 5+ years in multi-state payroll compliance and HRISÂ
- Project management experience with implementations is a plus
- Thorough, accurate, reliable, and able to prioritize tasks and bottlenecks
- Experience with G-suite and Excel
- Team oriented approach
- Ability to focus on the benefits of change and see it as positive
- Approach change or newness in a constructive and objective manner
We are looking to hire someone within commuting distance of our New York City or Nashville, TN office. We support our team members with the flexibility to thrive, professionally and personally. All hybrid team members are asked to be in the office for 2 Gathering Days a week to continue to build a collaborative, lively, and invested environment - a unique in-person culture we are proud of. Gathering Days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, however the office will be open and available for all Monday through Friday.
Vaccination PolicyNYC and Florida: Employees are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (in accordance with the CDC definition of vaccination) and provide proof thereof in order to work on-site at the New York City and/or Florida offices, unless the employee has an approved exemption (per state/local law) in place prior to the employee's start date.
Nashville: TFD requests that employees provide proof of vaccination on a voluntary basis prior to working on-site at the Nashville office, in line with local legislation.
