Manager, People Operations
Job Description
Hi, we're Sendlane, a private equity backed SaaS startup disrupting a multi-billion dollar industry helping eCommerce merchants use email and SMS marketing automation to increase their ROI!
Are you the resident expert? Do you believe that if it's to be, it's up to me? Are you a self-starter that usually pulls people along with you? Do you want things done yesterday and it feels like tomorrow? Do you thrive on building truly great systems and processes?
Our team's dedication to making Sendlane what it is today is humbling which is why we're looking for that next "special someone" to help take us to the next level. That's where you come in! Yes, you
Do you want to be our next Manager of People Operations?
Before we get into the role, allow us to give you a little background. You would be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer who we call "Money Mike". Money Mike's superpower is all things money, and he has an amazing track record doing that! But, while he has a good heart and truly cares about Sendlane's people, his secret for a successful HR/People department has always been by partnering with someone especially gifted in all things People (Don't worryit's me, Money Mike, writing this and I have no problem giving up my secret).
And that is where you come in. You will probably read through this description and say "wow, this is a tall order" and we agree! But there's a two-fold reason for that
1. We want the person who steps into this role to grow to be The Vice President of People someday, and
2. Most of what's listed here is already established, so your goal is to come in and make it better, and make it more scalable, so we can build a billion dollar company.
But, before we go into that let's talk aboutyou.
Your superpower is your ability to "read" people and situations effectively. Leaning more on your logic and knowledge of rules and requirements, rather than your emotion, you're able to channel your perceptions into innovative, creative, and thoughtful recommendations and improvements. Sincere and genuine, you invest in people because people are your passion, and you truly care. You are smart, willing to learn new things, willing to use new tools, and are process oriented. A little competitive, you're constantly looking for ways to out-do yourself. Good enough is not enough.
Finally, and most importantly, you embody Sendlane culture, you are Sendlane culture and you strive to make it even better every. single. day.
This is all kind of broad so how about we give you the bulleted skinny on what our expectations will be and what your day-to-day would look like.

It simply means that our collaboration, communication and ability to work together is second to none because we have a solid understanding of the people we work with every day and we actually enjoy it, too!
