Workrise is hiring a Manager, People Operations that will be responsible for owning People team systems, benefit administration and compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has experience working in global HR functions that are results oriented and data driven. This role will be exempt and will report to the VP, People. This is a hybrid position, with regular in-office attendance required.

 What you’ll be doing:
  • Be the “go-to” person on the team for the People team’s systems, tools, data, and processes for employee life cycle and benefits.
  • Provides leadership and hands-on solutions in response to People needs throughout the organization.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Own global benefits, pensions, and leave of absence administration activities.
  • Support annual benefits and open enrollment process by leading the systems management for open enrollment and ensuring accurate data for carrier file feeds.
  • Manage and maintain people data systems and apply your knowledge to put audits in place to ensure clean and accurate data.
  • Pull, scrub, analyze data and compile for ad-hoc reporting needs for other team members on recruiting, benefits, compensation, compliance, etc.
  • Leans into creative thinking, brings a solutions orientation to problem-solving, and has the ability to brainstorm multiple solutions while weighing differing priorities
  • Ensure new hire compliance is completed:  Background checks, I-9 verification.
  • Maintains all employee personnel files.
 Experience and Education Requirements:
  • 7+ years in HR/People roles
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience with HRIS controls and HR systems 
  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance  
  • Strong knowledge and experience with global benefits plan administration
  • Vendor management experience 
  • Proven experience owning systems and tools for growing companies  
  • Expert in Excel and/or Google Sheets
