Manager Plan Accounting

The Manager Plan Accounting will supervise and manage departmental functions and employees to ensure trading and the reconciliation of client mutual fund positions are processed daily.  In addition, the candidate will be responsible for on-boarding plans and account establishment for new or existing clients. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the daily reconciliation of all assigned plans.
• Monitors and maintains workflows and call centers to ensure timely processed.
• Manage and prepare participant statement data files on a monthly basis.
• Timely, accurate and effective problem resolution with clients, both internal and external.
• Exception processing and resolution for trade errors and balance issues.
• Provide weekly/monthly status reports departmental key performance indicators.
• Coordinates fund changes with fund families as requested by clients.
• Perform gain/loss calculations due to client or company error.
• Manage de-conversion of service terminated plans.
• Manage the on-boarding of startups, takeovers and internal conversions to ensure timely completion.
• Manage and process QDIAs on a scheduled basis.
•  Ability to perform the duties of any other Trade Accountant, Evening Trader or Conversion Specialist when necessary due to absenteeism.

Job Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years supervision of an Accounting, Plan Conversion or Trading Processing team
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Banking, recordkeeping or mutual fund transaction processing experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and analytical skills.
• Strong investigative and problem solving abilities.
• Mastery of basic mathematics as required to perform duties comparable with that of a book-keeping position.
