Job Functions

The following job function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. The job function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria.

  • Presents conclusions to senior manager and OPD (Overseas Program Director) to support maximizing program profit/presence. Collects and selects data, conducts analysis as part of conclusions.
  • Proposes and manages Program Contracts thru appropriate governance process for DOA approvals. Complete management includes coordinating project schedules and event kickoffs, Cross-functional collaboration towards an optimal proposal, function reply validations, business case judgment, preparation of executive materials with study results and recommendation, and cascading across individual program teams for execution.
  • Monitors and conducts business analysis of program performance on an on-going basis. Uses data and information to lead discussions and negotiations with product planning and vehicle engineering functions to propose life cycle plans to function upper management.
  • Conducts program axis planning and reporting within Business Planning (BP) Process including function reply validation (M&S, Purchased Parts, and Total TdC) and target setting.
  • Analyzes In-Market program performance vs. BP targets; validates operational decisions while evaluating portfolio holistically. Researches opportunities to improve program profitability.
  • Reviews market oriented data (i.e. vehicle specifications, retail price, destinations, sales volume, performance and quality objectives, etc.) and cost data (i.e. material, direct labor, direct expense, D&D expense, manufacturing allocations, in-house investments, vendor tooling expense, common costs, sales expense, margin, etc.). Proposes improvement ideas as possible.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Knowledge and Skill:

  • Project Management/Prioritization: Knowledge and experience in developing and executing on part of a broader plan.
  • Analytic Aptitude: Understanding of data analysis techniques to transform complex data into simple, concise recommendations to peers
  • Negotiation/Influence: Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations and win concessions without damaging relationships.
  • Business Acumen: Understands program objectives and takes actions required to align with company's overall strategy and vision while maintaining creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Executive Presence: Excellent oral and written communication skills that builds credibility among key stakeholders. Expectation is to present to VP level and above.

Experience:

  • 8 + years of related experience at a professional level; program management or other related discipline is desired.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
