The Social Media Manager, Public Relations is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions, while closely collaborating with the public relations team to support overall marketing goals. They create engaging content to resonate with target audiences, optimize company pages on social media platforms, and moderate user-generated content by responding to comments and questions in a timely manner. Additionally, they analyze social data to track performance, identify trends, and collaborate with other departments to manage reputation and coordinate social media activities. The Social Media Manager, Public Relations also stays up to date with the latest social media trends, manages media relations, pitches stories to the media, responds to media inquiries, writes press releases and other PR materials, and tracks the effectiveness of PR campaigns while managing and balancing the budget according to the defined strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies that align with the company's overall marketing and public relations goals
- Create and share engaging content that resonates with target audiences
- Optimize company pages across all social media platforms
- Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation and coordinate social media activities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in related field
- Marketing; Social Media Brand Creation
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Adobe creative suite a plus
- Strong understanding of media landscape and trends
- Organizational and time management skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Familiarity with multiple media channels including Digital, Print, Social, and Video
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with different team members across the organization
