What will you be doing?

The Manager of Pricing is a leader position within the Yield department. As the Manager, Pricing, you will manage and develop a team of Strategic Pricing Analysts. You will use your extensive experience within the truckload brokerage industry, freight market knowledge and systems fluency to assist with data analysis, RFP execution, and pricing strategy for customers and carriers. You will build relationships externally with our customer partners and internally across departments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage the development of region pricing analysts
• Engage directly with new and exhibiting customers to develop pricing strategies
• Ensure customer-specific pricing strategies are executed on each opportunity across pricing analysts
• Analyze and assess data from various sources to identify rends and forecast rates
• Make strategic recommendations across customer and carrier facing teams to optimize service and profitability
• Assist with rate trianing ans sales opportunity assessment with Account Managers and Business Development Reps
• Deliver regional-specific market updates internally
• Oversee the rate review and award sign off process for all Business Development RFP opportunities
• Assist with ad-hoc pricing requests from Business Development
• Monitor Pricing algorithms and matrices to support automated pricing engines
• Limited travel required

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in truckload brokerage required with experience in managing pricing teams
• Preferred experience within Carrier Sales or Account Management
• Ability to coach, develop and lead a team
• Ability to align growth initiatives and business goals with pricing strategy
• Advanced Excel proficiency to assist with data analyzation, RFP execution, and pricing strategy
• Proven and measurable results for implementing a pricing strategy
• Detail oriented, organized, and accurate data entry
• Demonstrate analytical skills, critical thinking, and strong freight market knowledge
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
