Job Description

Your role in helping us shape the future:
You will play a vital role in a team of professionals focused on designing, implementing and owning the pricing strategy and tools for Intelsat's current and future service offerings. You will drive consistent pricing methodologies across geographies, business units, and product teams to support Intelsat's rapid growth strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate extensively with product marketing, product management, sales, and finance. You will regularly advise senior management on internal and external pricing and yield trends and make recommendations to increase profitability.
Are you up to the challenge?
  • Coach, mentor and develop global pricing team.
  • Manage the rate card for Intelsat's products and services. Develop standard negotiation terms for the Deal Management team and sales leads.
  • Update and maintain the data inputs for Intelsat's pricing tools in SFDC.
  • Report on price and yield trends and provide recommendations to optimize yield across the fleet.
  • Partner with Market Intelligence and Deal Management teams to proactively utilize competitive intelligence and win/loss trends to ensure effective price levels.
  • Work with the business unit owners and sales leadership to develop sales promotions.
  • Coordinate efforts for customized rate cards for strategic global accounts.
  • Provide training to sales and other teams as needed.
  • Support annual business plan by providing pricing assumptions to be used on new business and renewal modeling.
  • Develop forward looking models to analyze potential impacts of pricing changes on core business.

Can you drive these processes?
  • Support Intelsat's Pricing Excellence Program in conjunction with Component Pricing team and Corporate Strategy.
  • Own pricing tool and pricing approvals in SFDC.

You should definitely have:
  • 4-year college degree.
  • 10 years of work experience in pricing both retail and wholesale services.
  • Expertise pricing either Mobile Satellite Services or Cellular services.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively articulate insights and create convincing executive level presentations.
  • An understanding of FSS networking applications including basic familiarity with terrestrial, hub and communication equipment.
  • A strong understanding of finance, marketing, engineering, and sales activities.
  • An ability to create cross-functional teams.
  • A strong business acumen and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to accumulate, evaluate and generate insights from large and disparate data sources.
