Job Summary

The Manager of Private Excursions is a strategic role responsible for the development of the global private experiences portfolio by working with third-party vendors and partners to create all tour customizations and assist in the development of pre-designed tailormade experiences. In our commitment to deliver product excellence, the Private Excursions Manager will liaise directly with guests to understand their travel preferences and create unique experiences surpassing the guest's expectations.

Essential Functions

• Development of all Bespoke experiences - high-end customized tours following the guest's preferences.
• Assist in accelerating the development plan for Privato experiences - pre-design luxurious and creative private tours for couples and small groups.
• Seek Partnership opportunities for the management and processing of Bespoke request volume.
• Liaison with guests directly to gather the private requests preferences and develop Bespoke experience proposals.
• Negotiate Bespoke experience costs with tour partners and propose equitable guest pricing.
• Manage Sales Support Agent to ensure all guest inquiries are managed, maintained, and distributed in a timely manner.
• Assist the Product Development Team during the RFP process evaluation.
• Work with the Marriott MILUX Team to identify top-performing and accountable tour operators globally.
• Evolve tour portfolio based on lessons learned, new trends, and program revisions post-operations in collaboration with Product Development Managers.
• Monitor onboard operations of the Private tour program during and after the voyage to handle quality issues, incidents/accidents, and address escalations and complaints.
• Collaborate with IT Shoreside Applications and Digital Marketing to establish and promote all private experiences in MyYacht Portal.
• Collaborates with Marketing and Tour Operators to ensure the Privato experience descriptions are accurate delivering genuine information and setting up the right expectations.

Competency

Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Geography, Fine Arts, Hospitality Management or equivalent

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant shore excursion experience. Global destination knowledge is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Superior organization & multi-tasking
• Ability to maintain positive, pleasant behavior while engaging tour operators & colleagues
• Ability to solve problematic situations in a quick, efficient manner
• Ability to supervise, mentor, critique, and coach managers and vendors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
