ResponsibilitiesÂ
The Procurement Manager (Ops) will be a part of the Arevon Procurement Team and will report directly to the Director of Procurement. The Procurement Manager (Ops) will be responsible for:
- Manage a small team that conducts vendor RFPs, pricing and terms evaluation, inventory management, and logistics support for equipment delivery. Principally with respect to EPC, OE/CM, 3PL and BOS procurement.
- Collaborate closely with Development team to ensure long lead equipment is purchased in time to support the project schedule along with RFP forecasting.
- Responsible for existing and future EPC, OE/CM, 3PL vendor relationship management to support the business needs including but not limited to Vendor onboarding, Pipeline reviews, and Quarterly business reviews.
- Manage the technical/commercial supplier/contractor due diligence processes, competitive RFPs, RFP Descopes and support contract execution for solar PV & BESS EPC and capital equipment agreements.
- Source materials and services to support Arevon’s operating fleet.
- Develop and administer new procurement processes for the organization.
- Maintain and process documentation (pre-quals, W9s, banking Information, Vendor Setup in NetSuite, etc.)
- Manage the logistics function to support execution of equipment deliveries and inventory support to projects in active construction and in operation.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Collaboratively interacts with Capital Asset Management (CAM), Engineering and Construction to establish and maintain lines of contact in a cross functional work environment.
- Ensures that risks are mitigated through alignment across major agreements (PPA’s, LGIA’s, BOS, etc.) that have an interplay with Arevon’s EPC agreements and equipment MSA’s.
- Conducting construction site visits to ensure proper compliance measures are followed on procured equipment.
- Analyzes project and development schedules to identify critical equipment timelines and synchronizes procurement and contracting efforts to support overall project construction efforts.
Experience
- 4-8 years of supply chain experience in renewable energy.
- Renewable energy experience is a plus.
- Approaches conventional thinking with a demonstrated ability to analyze and think strategically.
- Able to perform and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirited with a team player mentality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Open to 10%-20% travel.
- Understanding of solar project design and optimization tradeoffs and familiarity with current solar market, equipment suppliers, contractors, typical technical specifications, and costs.
- Experience with solar project financing and independent engineer requirements.
- Understanding of solar energy estimates, losses, assumptions, and standards.
- Experience leading commercial negotiations of MSA’s and EPC agreements and technical exhibits for solar facilities.
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize work, manage relationships with clients, colleagues, consultants, and contractor.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to perform in a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerBI and/or other Visualization platforms considered a plus.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Â
