Primary Purpose
Manager, Product Management is a senior product professional having responsibility over assigned product areas as well as management responsibilities over junior product team members. In this role, for managed products you would be responsible to manage end-to-end product lifecycle and execution from cradle to grave, including discovery, vision & planning, gathering, and prioritizing requirements, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This position also includes ensuring that the solution supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. Reporting into Director of Product Management, you would also support scaling the management function through managerial responsibilities including but not limited to team management, hiring, coaching & mentoring junior members to help build a high performing global product org.
Major Functions/Responsibility
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from start to finish; strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Specify market requirements for current and future products leveraging various tools to derive insights and discovery of existing and future customers and target market.
- Define the solution/product strategy, roadmap, key capabilities and communicate them internally and externally. Maintain active product owner role under Scrum methodology. Identify, define, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with scrum teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily R&D, and Product Marketing) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
- Develop and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with respective departments.
- Be a subject matter expert with respect to the solutions portfolio.
- Facilitate communication throughout the development process by partnering with key departments.
- Identify methods and metrics for identifying success and failures.
- Team management responsibilities to build and retain an A team. Working with leadership support hiring, retention and mentoring of team members. Also contribute to upskilling members and amplifying maturity of the product organization.

| Experience Requirement: |
| · 10-12+ years of product management experience with formal product management techniques, tools, and principles involved in planning and delivering new software products and services. |
| · 3-5+ years of experience managing a team of product professionals. Proven track record in building winning teams—contributing across hiring, retaining, growing product teams and contributing to product maturity amplification. |
| · Experience working with global product teams; especially in matrix organizations |
| · Proven managerial skills to inspire and coach teams and being a change agent. |
| · Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, work with a heightened sense of urgency and drive a broad Scrum team to strategic conclusions. |
| · Demonstrated ability to understand and translate non-technical feature descriptions into structured use cases, requirements, and specifications for technical audiences. |
| · Ability to personally interact with customers, prospects, sales, executive management, and technical engineering resources, adjusting communications to the situation and successfully understanding and communicating product capabilities and priorities to each audience. |
| · Excellent oral and written communication skills in English including vocabulary, spelling, composition, and grammar. |
| · Ability to read and understanding technical information well enough to convey in original written communications to multiple audiences, including Engineering. |
| · Ability to personally interact with technical resources and listen carefully, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions where appropriate. |
| · Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. |
| · Works well in fast paced, high pressure environments with the ability focus on goals and objectives |
| · Is honest and authentic, has active listening skills and maintains a positive mental attitude |
