About this role:
Responsible for driving the VRF (variable refrigerant flow) product strategies and roadmaps. Work closely with other product managers, engineers, factory, and other internal departments cross-functionally to provide product management and application solutions to distributors, dealers, and/or customers to help increase sales, revenue, and margins
Locations Atlanta or Indianapolis- must be in one of these locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops strategic vision and multi-year technology and product roadmap.
- Fosters cross-function integration with ducted heating/cooling, indoor air quality, and control platforms.
- Research develop and manage product modification projects from conception through launch with timely execution.
- Evaluates projects through financial feasibility studies, market research, and planning.
- Responsible for developing the competitive pricing strategy for new product introductions.
- Manages a team of professionals through a gated product development process.
- Research develop and manage customer-focused applications, processes, and tools.
- Collaborate with suppliers on needs related to the product line
- Clearly articulates product features and value in public speaking events such as distributor, dealer, sales, and recruitment meetings.
- Differentiates and positions the products to ensure customer value and optimize business return.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 + years of experience in a technical, product management, or business strategy role.
- Travel up to 20% required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background or experience in VRF HVAC technology strongly preferred
- MA/BMS degree with 5 + years of experience
- Previous experience working with engineering and business/sales is preferred.
- Understanding of residential HVAC applications and marketplace dynamics.
- Clear understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, provide quality solutions, and go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from multiple sources and synthesis it in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience.
- Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format across a wide audience. Ability to quickly identify new and innovative ways to work faster and simpler.
- Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner to identify the needs of the organization and/or customer, articulate necessary proposals, and see projects through to completion.
- Strong ability to lead and develop diverse, cross-functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
