The Manager, Product Management, is responsible for minimizing delivery team efforts. The success of this role depends on high levels of collaboration, negotiations, and communications with Product Owners, Stakeholders, Support, and Applications Management. Relies on Product Owners embedded in relevant product and project teams to coordinate consistent delivery and maintain up-to-date prioritized product backlogs. Balances inward-facing and outward-facing product needs, as well as tactical vs. strategic work priorities from key stakeholders. Works in a cross-functional team environment and collaborates effectively to implement and maintain solutions. Supports senior leadership in the development of policy and strategy implementation. Problems faced are difficult to complex. Influences others outside of job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate prioritized release backlogs definition, prioritization, and grooming. Calculate, update, present, and justify each release value to stakeholders. Drive and maintain uncompromised product quality standards. Ensure clear definition, communications, and adherence to release acceptance criteria.
- Ensure clear definition and communication of requirements through use cases, epics, and adherence to their acceptance criteria. Translate weekly scrum initiatives to broader audiences.
- Develop and mentor the team of Product Owners to continuously refine a synchronized vision for each product.
- Collaborates with Application Management, Enterprise Architects, Architects, and Executives to produce and own year over year portfolio roadmap.
- In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or related field preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, in combination with Scrum Master.
- Minimum 2 years managerial/leadership experience with direct reports.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in software development methodologies including UML, Agile, Waterfall.
- Advanced working knowledge and understanding of complex use cases.
- Advanced experience of Scrum, managing product and release backlogs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis, and organization skills.
- Must be able to lead through influence, without excessive authority.
- Must be able to meet multiple deadlines.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
- Must be able to implement process improvement changes with leadership direction.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to pay close attention to details.
- Must be able to adapt and be flexible to a changing environment.

For positions that are permitted or required to work remotely, employees may conduct work only within the United States and only in states where the Company is already conducting business, unless for brief periods, consistent with Company policy.
In the states of Colorado, California and Washington, the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $105,000 to $150,150. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
- Position is also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts and/or health savings accounts; dependent savings accounts; 401(k) with company matching contributions; employee stock purchase plan; and, a tuition reimbursement program. The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
